Second Chance Animal Aid (SCAA)
Shanghai’s privately run animal protection association, founded and supported by the expatriate community and dedicated to saving the lives of homeless companion animals.
SCAA’s mission is to raise funding for existing local animal shelters and organizations that seek to upgrade their facilities and services to Western standards, but which may not independently have the financial resources or training to provide adequate care for domestic animals in need. SCAA assesses and approves animal shelters and projects on a case-by-case basis and provides financial, medical and product support only to those facilities that provide transparent business and accounting practices and above all, a true love for the animals in their care.
